The purpose of this document is to explain the way that a Hydrographic Office (HO) should promote, support, and participate in Spatial Data Infrastructures (SDIs). We now have a growing body of knowledge and information available to the HO community that provides guidelines rather than advice to enable us to better understand and appreciate the value and benefit of SDI. Rather than repeat this general information at length, the relevant literature reviews are provided at Annex A of this document......
